Visiting Scholars Association
Who We Are
Assisting Scholars coming to America
The Visiting Scholars Association was established in 2001 for the purpose of assisting scholars coming to America. Our focus is to help visiting scholars find the resources necessary for airport pick-up, immediate housing and the basics of getting settled. The Visiting Scholars Association desires each scholar’s arrival to include a warm welcome and opportunities for professional and social interaction in the community. When it is time for the scholar to leave, we hope to send them home with good memories and new friendships that will last for a lifetime!
Worldwide Network
Visiting Scholars Association is a worldwide network of teams committed to serving the needs of visiting scholars. We have teams of professionals in university communities who are prepared to assist scholars on arrival and throughout their stay in America. For those traveling to universities outside of America, we do have some limited networks and we will do our best to meet your needs.
Am I a "Visiting Scholar"?
We define a Visiting Scholar as a mid-career professional in government, industry, academia, NGO, post-doc’s, and exchange faculty. If you are not sure if you qualify for our service, please send us and email and explain your situation.
A Welcoming Hand
Visiting Scholars Association is a faith based, not-for-profit organization, therefore we are able to offer this assistance without charge to the scholar and their family. The VSA motto is: “Love your neighbor”. All scholars can apply for our services regardless of their nationality, religious or political preferences. We look forward to meeting you in person.
For those coming to America may we be the first to say, Welcome to America, we are glad you are coming!
