The Visiting Scholars Association was established in 2001 for the purpose inspiring scholars to reach their dreams and objectives.  To accomplish that we assist scholars transition into American life, culture and desire for professional connections.  We have found that in general scholars are on their own to find the resources necessary for airport pick-up, immediate housing and the basics of getting settled. Our focus is to meet those needs. The Visiting Scholars program desires each scholar’s arrival to include a warm welcome and opportunities for professional and social interaction in the community. When it is time for the scholar to leave, we hope to send them home with good memories and new friendships that will last for a lifetime!

Visiting Scholars Association is a worldwide network of teams committed to serving the needs of visiting scholars. We have teams of professionals in university communities who are prepared to assist scholars on arrival and throughout their stay in America. For those traveling to universities outside of America, we do have some limited networks and we will do our best to meet your needs.

We define a Visiting Scholar as a mid-career professional in government, industry, academia, NGO, post-doc’s, and exchange faculty. If you are not sure if you qualify for our service, please send us and email and explain your situation.

Visiting Scholars Association is an NGO humanitarian organization.  We saw there was a great need and decided to do something about it! People of scholar status need to be treaded well and respected professionally.

For those coming to America may we be the first to say, "Welcome to America", we are glad you are coming!
